Fall Soccer

Jace and Eli both wanted to play soccer this year. It made for a busy September and October, especially for Eli with both practices AND games/meets for soccer AND cross county.

Eli's team was mostly kids who had been playing together for several years, but Eli meshed just fine and made some great new friends.  They play on a much bigger field and actually played positions instead of everyone just running after the ball 😂 Eli was always easy to spot with his red socks!

Jace's team rotated through positions, so Jace was excited to get to play goalie one game!

Jace scored a goal almost every game!

With both Eli and Jace's quickness and agility, they are great little athletes- I love that they are so active.  Even though the wind never stops blowing at Plantes Ferry, we enjoyed some beautiful fall weather. The last game of the season though was unbelievably cold and windy and snowy... Is it bad that I'm already ready for spring again?!?

Eli XC

Eli was so excited to get to represent Freeman in cross country as a sixth grader- and he did awesome!  He consistently came in first among the Freeman kids and always placed well overall.  He's a force when he sets his mind to something *grin*

Most of the courses were 1½ miles.  His first race finish time was 11:36 and he improved that to 10:43 by his next race!  Of the 6 different meets, competing against 40 to 60 sixth AND seventh grade boys, he placed between 1st and 9th place each time!

McKenna's Wedding

We loaded up the car for another trip to Rexburg for another wedding!  McKenna and Ben were sealed in the Rexburg Temple and it was so so good to see so much family again and catch up, especially to see Amie and the kids!

We got lots of cousin time in during such a short weekend...
Jace and Oliver just being being boys:

Bryson couldn't believe how TALL Jaron has gotten!

Girl cousins!

Nathan's 44th birthday was the Monday after the wedding so his siblings made him an extra special breakfast one morning at the hotel 😍
...and then gave him some age appropriate gifts!
Even though it was a short weekend, it was so so fun to reconnect and see everyone!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

We love our Daddy!  The kids got up early on their day off of school to make Daddy breakfast in bed:
forgetting of course that Dad really doesn't like to eat in bed 😆  Regardless, it was very sweet!  And delicious!

I made him his favorite Lemon Italian Creme Cake and he got lots of love from all of us!
So happy he's ours!

Homecoming

Bryson was elected to the homecoming court for his sophomore class.  He got to participate in some games during an assembly at school and was in the halftime show during the football game.

Bekah and her (crazy tall) boyfriend, as well as Kyla and Carson came to the homecoming football game to support Bryson:

Since he was on the court, Bryson really wanted to go to the dance, but he also wanted to follow the council to not date before he's 16.  So he chose to take his cousin Rebekah!  As an added bonus, she could drive them!!  What?  It's not weird!  Back in the day, people married their cousins all the time 😂
They had a great time and all of Bryson's friends were super impressed with his hott date 😍

That's Physics

One day I was listening in on the go-between of Hailee and Jace...

Jace:  Hailee, who would even want to climb a mountain that's taller than Mt. Everest?  That's physics!

Dallin overheard this little explanation by Jace and now, "that's physics" has become a regular explanation of just about any and every phenomenon in my house... For example:

...according to Jace, when you break a tree in Minecraft and it floats - That's Physics!!

...basically ANY of Dr. Doofenschmirtz's 'inators' - That's Physics!!  (We love Phineas and Ferb)

...did you know if you lined up all your blood vessels end to end, they would stretch all the way around the earth four times? - That's Physics!!

and even, ...it's snowing! - That's Physics!!
