September House Progress

FRAMING!!!
The framers started the Wednesday after labor day.  It's amazing how fast things go when framing starts!

September 3rd, the third day of framing- Bryson in the corner of the basement, walls framed, no floor boards on first floor...

Sepember 10th- first floor walls framed, no ceiling joists yet...

September 12th- second floor 1/2 way on, no trusses yet...

September 24th- Bryson about gave me a heart attack when I saw him eating his dinner out on the deck- framing was done by this point and windows were being installed (and the drainfield was going in)...

So since I'm a stickler for rules (and want to be a good example for my kids), we stay out in the trailer 2-3 nights per week.  We go out at bedtime with lunches packed, homework done and in our pajamas.  I bring clothes for the boys and some milk and cereal for in the morning.  After I drop off the boys at school the next day, I go back to my moms to get Hailee, Jace and I ready for the day.  It's not super convenient, but it works.  The kids think it's an adventure for sure, especially because in the morning, they get to see the construction workers hard at work before we leave for school!  It's quite the entertainment!  This particular morning there was a huge track hoe first coming up the driveway and then filling the hole around the reservoir tank...

I kept my boys home from school one morning because I wanted their precious hand prints in the driveway concrete... another exciting show for the kids; watching the concrete guys do their thing-
Hailee and Jace observed and quickly were pros at concrete work:

Of course I didn't think about getting pictures until the three older boys were already done with their hand prints...
Hailee thought the wet concrete was pretty cool...

Jace however, does NOT like messy hands- he fought me the whole time!

Well worth being late to school and Jace being all upset about it though I think!

September (that doesn't involve construction!)

He's decided he's big enough to wear underwear- even if they are Hailees *grin*
At least they're not on his head this time!

Trying to keep away from mom getting him out of the car... stinker!!

Don't mess...

This mama moose and her twins were quite a show in the middle of my parents very developed yard/neighborhood!

On a rare good hair day:
