Double Digits!

More than 1/2 my kids are in double digits now!  We celebrated Eli's birthday with family the Sunday before he turned 10 since Nathan and I will be out of town the weekend after his birthday...  he didn't mind 😊

He wanted 'a chocolate cake with sprinkles'

Again, since Nathan and I will be gone, he even got to have his 'friend' birthday party the day BEFORE his actual birthday- LUCKY BOY!  We went to Laser Quest- oh my goodness, it was so easy 💗

They played a few games first...

And then it was time for laser tag!

He wanted an ice cream cake... it was plenty soft by the time we ate it!!  But still delicious!

On his ACTUAL birthday, he surprised me by branching out and requesting pancakes instead of the usual french toast... but still with heavenly syrup, can't get too crazy 😍

Eli is still a snuggler- and though it's pretty rare for him to climb into bed with us, he likes to snuggle on the couch or just give lots of hugs.  He loves sports of all kinds- basketball, wrestling, football, soccer- just like his daddy.  He's still a pretty terrible eater- meaning that he's fairly picky and eats slow, especially when he doesn't particularly like what he's eating... he loves fruits and veggies, those are never the issue!  He especially dislikes cheese (?!?) and pasta... but he loves pizza and doesn't care if there's cheese in his scrambled eggs.  He is very social and asks more than any of my other kids if he can have a friend over or go to a friends house... and every Sunday he asks if anyone is coming over for dinner 😊.

Weekend Getaway

We decided to get away for President Day Weekend- all the way to Liberty Lake 😆  The kids didn't care, and probably enjoyed NOT having a long drive somewhere- they were just in it for the POOL!

This kid and his pose 💗

My kids are SO good about following the 'NO DIVING' signs posted all around the pool...

It was nice to just play for the day and a half we stayed at the hotel- I particularly loved the hot tub- it's been so cold!  Summer where are you?!?

Braces!

What 6th grader wouldn't want to get their braces put on on Valentines Day?!? 😏
Dallin was totally agreeable to it, thankfully! He's always got a good attitude about pretty much everything though!

Pre-Braces:

He loved being in this contraption 😤

Love that smile!

He really wasn't too sore after getting them on, but, *sigh* he's already lost a bracket 😕

Valentines Day

Happy {Heart} Day!

I went in to help out with Hailee and Jace's class parties- I arrived just as Hailee was coming in from recess-apparently we need to tighten up her snow pants 😌

Oh my goodness, the amount of sugar that these kids inhale in the 13 hours they're awake on Valentines day is just staggering!

Jace's class had lots of helpers, so I popped in and out, but Hailee's teacher needed more help so I spent most of the time in her class-

Eli's class watched a movie and Dallin and Bryson had a school dance (they opted to play basketball in the gym instead 😉)

As per usual, we enjoyed heart shaped Papa Kelsey's inspired sub sandwiches for dinner- the very sandwiches that Nathan and I fell in love over 💖 *sigh*
