December in Pictures

Hailee's class has been doing ballet in PE- she did a demonstration for me one morning:

Our ward Christmas party kids Nativity:
Jace and Hailee were both angels, Dallin and Eli were wise men...

Cool frosty snow on some branches

Getting this boy to eat takes a lot of patience.  He's by far my pickiest.  Pretty much hates all vegetables.  Or anything I cook. 😔

He ended up with a stomach bug this month and missed several days of school because of it.  Poor buddy...

No explanation:

Aunt Sandy and Rebekah hosted a girls only showing of Beauty and the Beast during Christmas Break- Hailee loved it!

Sleeping under the tree:

Left to their own devices (no pun intended) over Christmas:

Hailee and Jace were at Mimi and Papa's one day and Hailee demanded a tea party- by all accounts, Jace was NOT impressed...

Christmas!

Bright and early Christmas morning we had some eager kids ready to open presents!

Let the Lego building begin!!

We had Christmas Dinner at Perry and Sandy's- I was too busy enjoying time with family to take a bunch of pictures, but I did manage to get this one of Hailee:
How she commandeered an entire drumstick I don't know, but she DEVOURED it!

Merry Christmas to all!  We're so thankful for the greatest gift of all: the gift of our Savior's birth and life and Atonement!

Band Concert

Bryson and Dallin both had their band concert this week.  Mr. J is just awesome- the kids love him and he makes band so much fun.

Bryson is pretty committed to the bassoon, but he also plays the baritone sax...
in addition, of course, to the piano.  And the trumpet, alto sax, and flute...
He's one of the few kids that was selected to be in the high school band as an 8th grader, he loves it!

Dallin is still playing the alto sax...
The same exact one that I played in middle school in fact!

Random November

Nathan's parents came out the first week in November and I got a total of 2 pictures 😖

Grandma and I laughed and laughed at these two and their identical posture watching tv:

Papa and Hailee reading:

That's it. No other pictures of their visit.  So so so sad.  BUT, that is no indication of the fun we had.  We had a wonderful time with Grandma and Papa and wish they could come more often!!

At lunch with my favorite teenager:

Jace decided to cut his own hair:
... at least it wasn't Hailee!

And my one picture of Thanksgiving!
The food was all cleaned up and we were ready to play games!

Love this picture of Bryson pushing Jace in the wheelbarrow *grin*
The end of November was sunnier and warmer than the beginning for sure!

Hailee lost a tooth and actually put it in the tooth fairy pillow!!

**I've GOT to do better taking pictures!!**

SNOW!!

Nathan's parents came to visit the first week of November and we got a huge snowstorm while they were here!  It was pretty crazy for this early in the year to get this much snow.

We ended up with 4-5 inches in all.  The kids and dogs loved it of course, but we just weren't quite ready for winter yet!!

Jace is the self appointed "back-deck snow shoveler"...  He takes his responsibility very seriously...

Hailee got in on the action after a bit...
Eli and Dallin thought a snow bath sounded nice...

CRAZY!!

Random October

The first snowfall this year on the 12th of October... tooooooooooo early.... 😡

I know it's frowned upon to take pictures during church, but....

The kids all did great in the primary program- it's Dallin's last program (which he frequently made known) before he turns 12!

Happy birthday to my sweetheart!  We went to his favorite local Brazilian churrascaria.  An old employee of his was there and alerted that staff that it was his birthday 😜

We celebrated with the family Sunday night

October also brings about birthdays for both my parents- Eli made this card and put ALL 69 candles on the birthday cake, and channeled his inner poet...
"Dear Papa, I love you so much.  You are a sun on a dark day, like the moon on a pitch black night you are the only light in the sky.  I love you.  Love Eli"  😊

Dallin yanked out his last baby tooth!
