The Big FIVE

Jace is FIVE years old!  What?  How?!?

We celebrated his birthday with family the Sunday before his actual birthday, so he totally got spoiled twice.  He lapped it up.

No question about what he wanted in a cake...
1. 'chaw-kit' (chocolate) cake
2. orange frosting
3. Paw Patrol on top

This was the thanks Hailee got for making him a birthday card-- so so sweet:

On his actual birthday, he wanted 'eggs scoopa scoopa' for breakfast... we have this obnoxious Super Mario Bros. movie and King Koopa makes 'eggs scoopa scoopa'- Jace took to calling a sausage egg mcmuffin that a while ago and it stuck... 

And why not some leftover birthday cake to round out breakfast??

Later that day we went to the park and then the pool- summer birthdays are the best!

This boy loves life!  He wants to be involved in, and experience everything- he's just one of the "big kids".  He loves to make us laugh with his silliness.  He still loves cars and emergency vehicles the most.  Adorbs.

June Playground Extravaganza!

Wow.  We went to a lot of parks this month!!  Generally it coincided with a day at the pool or library, but sometimes we just picnicked after piano or a doctors appointment.  Regardless, it was lots of fun-

PUPPIES!!  Kim's puppies are so so stinking cute!  My kids beg to go whenever we're at piano lessons- 

Not surprisingly, there's no pictures of Hailee loving on the puppies- she couldn't care less about them...

Duke and Knight got haircuts- I think they were a little self conscious about it at first!

June Camping

We went up camping just our family this last weekend and had so much fun!

I never tire of knight thinking that he's a lap dog-

especially when it's Jace's lap he perches on- the smallest kid!  Of course, Hailee wouldn't stand for it...

The weather was cool, but sunny- way too cold for me to get in, but not too cold for the kids!

We invented a new game that's a fusion of frisee, kickball and baseball- They call it 'frisbee base' 😃
