Working hard

Since we've had some nice sunny days, the neighborhood kids have been loving playing outside... last summer they had fun in the empty lot across the street digging holes... it's been taken to a whole new level recently-

Can you tell how wide and deep it is??  I think the developer needs to cut the boys a check for digging them out a basement!

Just another night evening in paradise...

Can you tell how happy he is to be eating dinner?

He is a.w.f.u.l. to try to get to finish a meal these days...

Brysons First Piano Recital

Bryson was very excited about his first piano recital.  He chose the piece Fur Elise by Beethoven... "because Beethoven really is one of my most favoritest composers" he said.  I've officially heard that piece 10 bajillion times now.  He has developed quite a love for the piano, which makes me happy- he's gone through a couple of phases where he wanted to quit piano, but right now, he is loving it- he'll frequently sit down and just start playing throughout the day- I love hearing it.

Bryson was born a performer- quite a few of the kids before him were extremely timid about getting up in front of everyone, but not Bryson!  I wish I would have gotten a picture of him announcing his piece... my camera wasn't cooperating though.
He played his piece perfectly- no mistakes, even the timing was pretty good- which is saying a lot because at home when he'd practice, you'd think he was trying to break the sound barrier... it was so cute to watch his face during his performance- he would furrow his brow and get all serious for the difficult parts, and when he'd get through them, he'd break out into a great big smile.

He was pretty pleased with his performance too, which is what really counts!

Two Peas in a Pod

Eli and Hailee really have become good friends- she loves to join in on whatever Eli is doing- especially when his brothers are at school and not around to 'steal' his attention...

I couldn't not take a pic of this the other day...
 (don't turn me in!!)

and also of this one...
I hope all my kids stay as good of friends as they are now.
