October in Pictures...

Hailee actually spent a few minutes examining a baby doll!
And then she found it's feet...

Seriously...
 yummy yummy yummy
He just makes my heart melt...
well, all of ours actually...

Nothing like snuggling with a baby

Made this in 30 seconds from an old t-shirt...

Haybug spent 20 or so minutes pouring over this American Girls catalog...

Gotta love the sweatband-
the boys got them from a birthday party last month and they just keep finding their way back out of the garbage- they seriously l.o.v.e. them!  Dallin will sigh loudly and say, "wow, I'm just sweatin" out of nowhere... and sure enough, it's cuz he's wiping his forehead with his sweatband.  My favorite is when Eli offers to wipe the 'sweat' off my forehead with it.  (fyi: I don't sweat, I glisten *grin*)

Sitting up in his bumbo!  He loves being in on the action-

Happy Birthday Daddy!

The boys made daddy lunch on his birthday
A juicebox, pepperoni and cheese and crackers, popcorn, and a mini cupcake (with a candle, of course!)

The following weekend, he went salmon fishing with my brother in law...

One tooth down!

After weeks and weeks of wiggling, Dallin lost his first tooth!  He was super happy and surprised to have actually lost it, all in one!

(and not to be overshadowed, Bryson yanked out a tooth that night also...)

Fire Station Field Trip

I've been hearing a lot from Eli recently about a girl in his class named 'Ashley.'  He now readily admits that Megan is no longer his girlfriend and that they're not getting married anymore- and according to Megan's mom, Megan is devastated and literally asks her mom if they can move so she can find someone else to marry!  Oh the drama of 4 year olds!

Mrs. Mackin informed me that Eli is the big man on campus... that all the kids want to play with him, sit by him, do whatever he is doing.  And frankly, that doesn't surprise me at all- the kid has always had it all figured out and it's always been on his terms.

So we went on his field trip to the fire station- when Mrs. Mackin was making buddy assignments, Ashley claimed Eli right away...

the weather was nice so we walked the couple of blocks - and he and Ashley held hands the whole way... skipping and swinging their arms...
(she's a full head taller than he is...)
He's a charmer for sure!  His daddy's boy!

Of course Hailee tagged along in her usual big girl way...

No longer keeping track

This little girl is picking up new words every day now- I can't even keep track, but I know she's well past 50 words- and a week ago Sunday, she said a three word 'sentence'- I was feeding Jace before church and asked if she wanted to take a shower with me- to which she shook her head and responded with her usual mumbo jumbo... but a few seconds later, I realized what she had said... "no E ba"... a little translation, "no, Eli, bath" (!)  not grammatically correct in any way (lol) but it was a sentence... she didn't want to take a shower with me, she wanted to take a bath with Eli!  And now I'm hearing all sorts of words she's putting together- though they're really (REALLY) hard to decipher sometimes- and plenty of the time I have NO idea what she's saying, she doesn't seem to mind though.

And yes, the above picture IS her best impression of Heath Ledger as the Joker...   She sure loves her some of my 'impossible-to-pick-without-smooshing-them' blackberries!
