Blue and Gold

I was perfectly content to let Dallin and Eli decorate their own cakes for the blue and gold banquet this year- life is BUSY!  They needed some pointers, but did very well on their own.  It was a travel theme:

Eli earned his wolf!

This will be Dallins last year as a cub- He's advancing to Boy Scouts in a few months!

Other February

̇̇̇̇̇̇͒͒͒͒͒I feel like most our February happenings are just totally random...

Dallin conquered the "Megaminx," the 12 sided rubiks cube

I did a 270 going down the driveway one morning :\
It was a very slow and 'calculated' rotation, but nerve wracking nonetheless.  The driveway was a sheet of ice...

The kids love to get jenga blocks out and build stuff-

The most glorious and vibrant rainbow from our house:
The picture doesn't do it justice.

With all the melting snow, we ended up with a little flooding in the basement :\
Fortunately, it was minimal- as much as flooding can be minimal anyway!  There was a lot of work involved to dry things out and make sure mold/mildew didn't set in... but it could have been SO much worse, we're very thankful.  We're pretty confident that it happened because an ice dam had built up outside so water couldn't drain away from the house....

Knight had another tangle with a porcupine *groan*

Bryson, Dallin and Eli all participated in adjudications again this year, their hard work paid off!  They all did a great job.

Happy Happy Birthday!

My Eli is 9!  Eli is a ray of sunshine- he is a charmer and loves to play and have fun... he's generally good natured, but can be very sensitive- if it suits him at the moment *wink*  He loves to be a helper, especially in the kitchen.

For his birthday breakfast, he wanted cinnamon rolls, I was happy to oblige!  He sometimes thinks he's shy and gets embarrassed easily-  like for his birthday breakfast!  He didn't know what to wish for *grin*

Finally he came up with something worthy of a birthday wish!

His teacher, Mrs. Aune-Ruland (Mrs. A-R), has nothing but wonderful things to say about Eli- he is ALWAYS on task, NEVER disruptive, ALWAYS puts forth his best effort... (if only I could get that to transfer to home!!)

He wanted a chocolate cake for his birthday, nothing fancy, just a chocolate cake... And Lego's... And a sweet Gonzaga Shirt!

Eli's Favorites at Age 9:
Favorite Color: Yellow
Favorite Restaurant: D'lish Hamburgers -he's branching out and now eats hamburgers (sans cheese), he's still ranks fairly high among my 'pickier' eaters...
Favorite Food: French toast with heavenly syrup
Favorite Drink: Cherry 7-Up
Favorite thing to do: Play with my brothers
Best Friend: Josiah Bessire and Alden Chamberlain
Favorite Movie: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Favorite TV Show: Lego Ninjago
Favorite Toy: Football
Favorite Animal: Dog
Favorite Book: The Fabric of our Lives (my blog books!) - he loves to read them!!

Another fantastic year with this amazing guy!

Valentines Day

😀😀😀😀 I made my rounds to the V Day parties (that I was invited to at least!!)

Jace had fun decorating his cookie...
 Just a little frosting =\

Reading her Valentines!

Ice cream sundae's!

The biggest game of Jenga *grin*

Dallin's class watched a movie and Bryson had a dance... neither of which parents were invited to =\

For dinner, we had our usual Papa Kelsey's sub sandwiches, cut into hearts *awww*  It's a throwback to Nathan's favorite restaurant in Rexburg, he took me there every week while we were dating *grin*

7th Grade Basketball

Can I just say that I love school sports!?!  Practice straight after school?  Bus transportation to the games?  No crazy expensive leagues?  Yes, please!

Bryson played 7th grade basketball, it's pretty amazing how much he's improved since he started playing a few years ago.  We love to go cheer him on!

Jace was obviously super into the game:

Bryson made both key free throws near the end of the game to clinch the win!  It was pretty awesome to watch =)
