Eli on Two Wheels!

Yes, Dallin did just learn to ride the same bike on 2 wheels a few months ago... but if his brothers can do it, who am I to tell Eli he can't??

So now Dallin wants to be adventuresome and ride Brysons bike...

And Bryson wants to ride Daddys bike!

Oh summer, why must you go??

Random September Pictures

I laughed out loud at this one...
Eli is wakeboarding.  Behind Dallins boat.  With a hot wheels track around his head.  The imagination of kids.

Her new favorite perch in the house...
 besides my lap of course!

A hole has been dug for his office!
is it illegal to take a picture while driving??

Enjoying the last few nice days of summer!
Yeeees, we are still patching Bryson...

Doing a little crafting & decorating... it's about time!
I made the shelves... Pottery Barn shelves starting at $49 EACH??  Psh.  I made 4 shelves for less than $20.  Nail guns?  Heck yes.

Eli just loves to wrestle with and sit on Hailee.  He's so bored when his brothers are at school!
He makes up for it by making beautiful music for her... all is forgiven...

Eli had his first fieldtrip- to Great Harvest... the only thing he could think of to tell Daddy about was the cookie as big as his head...

Ice Cream Cookies

I had just finished mixing up a batch of chocolate chip cookies the other evening, when Dallin came in from outside....
Dallin: Hey mom!  Whatcha doin' (just like Isabella from Phineas & Ferb, the boys new fav)
Me: I'm making cookies
Dallin[pulling up a stool]: Oooh!
He proceeded to watch intently as I used my cookie scoop (much like an ice cream scoop) to scoop up the batter and then drop it onto the cookie sheet...
Dallin: so to make cookies, you just scoop up ice cream and put it on that [pointing to the cookie sheet] and then bake it??
It took me a moment to make the connection of why he would think it was ice cream in the bowl (I was using an ice cream-like scooper!)... I love how his little mind works!  His observation gave me the idea to sandwich ice cream between the cookies, thanks Dal!!

First Days of School

The first day back to school was soooo highly anticipated by all my boys... Eli was pretty bummed that he didn't get to start until the day after Bryson and Dallin (school started for them on a Wednesday, and Eli is in Tuesday/Thursday preschool).  So on the Tuesday before, he was very excited to learn that his orientation was before Bryson and Dallins.  I was upstairs getting Hailee dressed that morning when I heard Eli having a royal fit about something... I came downstairs to find him and Bryson wrestling over Brysons lunchbox... Eli was adamant that he needed to bring a lunch to school!  I explained that no, he didn't need to bring a lunch, they only had snacks, and that this was not school today, just a chance to meet his class and teacher and see his classroom.  That seemed to pacify him, so I went back upstairs only to hear the same protests coming from Eli a few moments later... this time, he was trying to pack school supplies into his back pack... but they were Brysons school supplies from Brysons already-packed backpack!  I explained this time that he didn't need school supplies- the school gave him all the supplies he needed- they had crayons and paper and markers for him already!  Again, he was satisfied by that... that boy has some major issues with his place in line in our family!

The next morning, Bryson and Dallin were ready.to.go!
nice Bryson, did you have to wipe your face on your shirt??

Bryson lined up for class...

Dallin going into class...

Mrs. Helma is everything you could ever ask for in a kindergarten teacher...
Both their first days of school went great!

FINALLY, the big day came for Eli too...

He jumped right in...
I'm sure it helps that his 2 best friends are in his class, but really, I think this kid could go to school everyday and not have any issues.
He loves his teacher too!

Day 2 for Bryson and Dallin... off on their own!
