Random March

Oh what a spring so far!

We've been enjoying some spring sunshine and took full advantage of a week of early release from school!

Jace's pacifier went bye bye (for good this time!) in January- It was a little drama, but he got over it.  I was curious what his response would be 2 months later when I found a rouge paci...
He was super excited about 'finding' it on the counter- almost like it was a long lost friend... he sucked on it for a few seconds and then took it out and looked at it with a puzzled look...  the 'open bite' with his front teeth closed SO quickly since we took his paci away and I think it made sucking on his paci a completely different feeling and he couldn't figure out what was wrong.  After a few minutes, I suggested he throw it in the trash so we could go get a sucker...he was a little reluctant, but then tossed it in the trash and never looked back *grin*

His self proclaimed jail:

Eli showing off his tough karate moves:
I especially loved his black belt placement!

Aunt Kristi left her hat at our house and Hailee took full advantage of the situation:

Pinewood Derby:

Not exactly sure what was going on here *grin*

Our Sunday morning road block:

Eli started wrestling this year:
This was after his first match and a GOLD medal!  He was so excited!  He really loves wrestling- he's quick on his little feet and not afraid to be aggressive, it's fun to watch.

Jace loves going to Hailee's school with me when I'm the helper- he feels like such a big boy!

Musical

Lots of musical performances this month...

Bryson had a band concert.  His school got a huge grant and bought these African drums that they've spent the last few months playing...

Dallin and Bryson both participated in adjudications earlier this month, along with Bekah and Jacob-

They all did beautifully.  It was Bryson's second, and Dallin's first year in adjudications- I was so happy with how encouraging and helpful the adjudicator was- she really made the boys feel good about their performance while offering constructive criticism.

Bryson ended up being selected to play in the 'Honors Recital' later that week- his piece, "The Storm" was a very challenging piece that stretched him for sure, but was impressive when he mastered it- he worked so hard on it and it really paid off!  Diane is an amazing teacher and is a big reason why Bryson loves piano-
